Either a dentist or hygienist will evaluate your gums once a year at these visits so they can find gum disease in it\u2019s earliest stages and recommend the appropriate treatment.<\/p>\n<h2>How Is Gum Disease Treated?<\/h2>\n<p>There are several types of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.celebrationfamilydentaltx.com\/gum-disease-treatment.html\">periodontal therapy in Carrollton<\/a> that a dentist may recommend:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scaling and root planing<\/strong> \u2013 Also called a \u201cdeep cleaning,\u201d this is usually the first recommended treatment.
