This is a really outstanding dental practice. From the front desk staff to the dental assistant to an above-and-beyond Dr Shekhadiya, this place is great. I especially like how the doctor meets you where you are. I asked a lot of questions so he walked me through explanations with visuals too. He clearly loves what he does. He is personable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I had a great first experience; I highly recommend them.

How much does a dental check-up & cleaning cost in Farmers Branch?

A check-up and cleaning should begin with a thorough patient health history and discussion of any patient concerns. It should also include an examination completed by Dr. Shekhadiya, a professional cleaning, X-rays, and an oral cancer screening.

The average cost in markets across the United States is between $200 and $350. If you have dental insurance, the fees for your check-up and cleaning (including any out-of-pocket copays) are negotiated with us by your insurance company.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

Here in the United States, all dentists must earn either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) from one of the nation’s 67 accredited dental schools.

Acceptance into dental school requires the student to have earned a bachelor's degree (along with very high grades) in a major heavy in math and the sciences.

Dental school is three years, with a combination of classroom and hands-on learning. Following dental school, some dentists choose to continue their education by earning one of twelve specializations recognized by the American Dental Association. These require an additional three or more years of dental school training.

Following graduation, all dentists are required to complete a minimum number of continuing education hours to maintain their dental license.
